To the editor: Vote Charlton for common sense approach

Tom Charlton has proved to be a dedicated public servant in the House, fighting for working families. Re-electing Tom to the State House for Windham-Windsor, as well as others who care about Vermont’s history and future, is simply common-sense. They say common-sense is like a flower that doesn’t grow in everyone’s garden, but it is time for all Vermonters to cultivate it.

Common-sense voters need to get out and vote to re-elect Charlton so he can continue advocating for our state. Vermont cannot afford to lean any further left, and we need common-sense leadership to prevent increased government control. Personal freedom in Vermont is becoming increasingly limited under the current legislative majority, which relies on policies that undermine the nuclear family and traditional Vermont life.

Furthermore, the current majority prioritizes criminals over law-abiding citizens and have made Vermont the most costly state to live. The cost of living for working families continually rises under the current majority, making homeownership increasingly out of reach.

We need to vote for common-sense candidates who will strengthen Vermont and allow families to be safe from the wave of crime, and yet prosper with less governmental control.

Tom Charlton has proved to be a common-sense and dedicated public servant in the House, fighting for working families against a majority that has no common-sense in their garden. Re-electing Tom and others who truly care about Vermont’s history and future is essential. … and simply common-sense.
