To the editor: Morrow best choice to represent Windham-Windsor-Bennington District

I would like to encourage the voters of Winhall, Weston, Andover and Londonderry (the Windham-Windsor-Bennington District) to support the reelection of Chris Morrow as our Vermont state representative.

Chris has a deep and diverse background of experience in both business and community development. He has lived in and supported our local economy and small-town culture for most of his life. Chris is the best choice to represent us in the Vermont Legislature.

Chris has been a public servant who is not motivated by what he needs. Rather, he puts his constituents first and votes for them and what will best improve their life in this community. He is an honest person, husband and father who understands a Vermonter’s life and has the strength, education and courage to make hard decisions to improve, sustain and protect our unique way of life here for future generations.

Understanding the issues with an open mind is something that Chris champions! He listens respectfully to all his constituents from all points of view, does his own research about the topics at hand, and works hard for justice, safety and welfare of everyone.

In terms of social issues, the environment, clean energy, public education and economic prosperity Chris has proven that he understands what the best forward is and has been outspoken as a passionate, yet, calm leader.

Chris has kept our district well-informed of current events in the Statehouse. In regard to the ICE raid that happened a few months ago 3 miles from my farm, he mobilized and was present to address that immediately. He helped convene a meeting within 24 hours that brought together over 100 people in our community and built a team of professionals to help the legally residing and working neighbors who were detained in Massachusetts. Within weeks all of the men were released because they were legally living in Vermont and had not broken any laws.

This dangerous and violent federal police force should not be in the USA at all! This is very important to address due to the fact that Chris’s opponent for representative is an open supporter of ICE.

Vote for Morrow on Tuesday, Nov. 3 so that he may continue to do a great job as our state representative!

Sincerely,

Emmett Dunbar
South Londonderry

when democrats get elected they go to Montpelier and are then told they are to vote how they’re told by the leadership. so if local issues are important to you then you better vote for someone who can follow his conscience and not as he’s told.
I was told this by a democrat representative from Springfield who said he didn’t like that.
