The Green Mountain Union High and Chester-Andover Elementary schools have issued their annual reports for 2014-2015. The two reports, of more than 30 pages each, can be accessed online in The Chester Telegraph: GMUHS REPORT and CAES REPORT

Each report contains the warnings for upcoming public meetings and votes, minutes from the 2015 town meetings, information about each school and student performance, financial reports from both the Two Rivers Supervisory Union and each school and their proposed budgets for fiscal 2016-17, and reports from the Board of Directors and school and supervisory union officials.

Each report also features artwork created by students from each school.

On Tuesday, March 1, voters will go to the polls to vote by Australian ballot:

The voters of Chester and Andover will be asked to approve a $3.9 million budget for Chester-Andover Elementary. According to the board, this will mean a .63 percent drop in per pupil spending, amounting to $14,424.91 per equalized pupil.  The board is also asking for approval to move $75,000 from the 2015 general fund to it’s Capital Improvement Reserve Fund.

The board of Green Mountain Union High is asking voters of Andover, Cavendish and Chester to approve  $6.4 million to fund the school for 2016-2017. The warning says this would result in a 2.1 percent hike in per pupil spending, bringing that figure to $14,189.05 per equalized pupil.

The GMUHS report also contains the River Valley Technical Center warning, in which area voters will be asked to decide if they will spend $2.8 million to fund the school, which serves high school students from the school districts served by Bellows Falls Union, Green Mountain Union, Black River Union and Springfield.
