UPDATE – August 8: Vermont State Police issued a brief press release overnight saying that Rachel Daniel had been located. No other details were given.

The Vermont State Police at the New Haven barracks are looking for 30-year-old Rachel Daniel of Manhattan, Kansas.

According to a police press release, Daniel attended the Rainbow Family Gathering in the Mt. Tabor area in July and told friends she planned to be home by Aug. 1. She was in touch with members of her family on July 31.

Daniels phone was pinged on Aug. 1 and it was located in Lincoln, Vt. As of today, her phone is shut off and cannot be pinged for location.

Daniel is described as being bi-racial, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 250 to 280 pounds. She has long black, curly hair and brown eyes and may be wearing a nose piercing. Police say Daniel has no means of transportation.
