Springfield Garden Club accepting scholarship applications Deadline for submission is May 1

Springfield Garden Club is accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship. Eligible students include graduating seniors who are attending one of the following high schools: Springfield, Green Mountain Union, Windsor and Bellows Falls Union.

Students in these districts who are being homeschooled are also invited to apply, as are previous scholarship winners.

To be considered, students should be studying Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Natural Sciences, Environmental Studies or related fields. Further education can include a 2- or 4-year college/university/technical college or a certification or internship program.

Two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each are available for 2026. Interested students are encouraged to speak with the school’s Guidance Office for details or click here and look under “Activities” to download an application.

For more than 100 years, the purpose of the Springfield Garden Club has been to provide a social framework for education and community service in the areas of gardening, beautification and conservation, as well as to coordinate the activities of the club with those of the Federated Garden Club of Vermont to advance mutual aims.
