Telegraph adds new Obituary section

The Chester Telegraph has made a few changes in how it manages obituaries.

First, we’ve created a separate section on the Home Page, marked Obituaries, moving obituaries out of the Latest News section. The change coincides with both an abundance of news and of obituaries, which have been competing for attention in one single section.

You’ll now find Obituaries just below the Commentary section and to the right of Education.  You’ll continue to find Sports in the 2nd Tier Navigation Bar at the top of the every page.  You’ll also find Sports stories under Business, Education and occasionally News, depending on the other factors in the article.

We’ve also made a slight change to our Obituary submission policy, which now includes a minor charge of $20 and many benefits. You can find that policy here.

If you have any questions, please contact Cynthia Prairie at 802-875-2703.

  1. So happy to hear. This way I can see who has passed in Chester as lived there for 20+ years. Thank you for adding this.
